Construction & Remodeling in Delaware County, PA
Delaware County is where Jackson Builders started in 1974 and where most of our work still happens. We know the townships, the inspectors, and the housing stock — from 1920s stone colonials to new construction off Route 352.
Why Delaware County homeowners call us
Township permitting and inspections handled end to end
Crews based in the county, not dispatched from out of state
Decades of work on local stone, stucco, and colonial-era homes

We know the county's housing stock
Delaware County is a patchwork of eras: 1920s stone and stucco twins in Drexel Hill and Havertown, mid-century ranches and split-levels in Springfield and Broomall, Victorian borough homes in Media and Swarthmore, and newer developments out toward Glen Mills and Garnet Valley. Each one fails and flexes differently — plaster and lath, balloon framing, knob-and-tube leftovers, undersized footings, or slab-on-grade additions that never tied into the original structure. We plan for what's actually behind the wall instead of discovering it halfway through.
Permits vary by township, not by county
There is no single Delaware County building department. Radnor, Marple, Haverford, Springfield, Nether Providence, and Media Borough each run their own permitting, zoning, and inspection schedules, with their own setback rules, impervious-coverage limits, and stormwater requirements. We prepare the drawings, file the applications, and meet the inspector on site so your project isn't sitting idle waiting on a re-submittal.
What we build here most
The most common Delaware County projects we take on are rear and second-story additions on tight suburban lots, kitchen and bath renovations in homes with original 1950s layouts, finished lower levels and in-law suites, and backyard transformations combining patios, decks, and pools. We also install Endless Pools indoors — a specialty few local contractors are certified for.
